Slow Progress.....or Me, Being LAZY

Okay, okay....I know it's been forever since I've posted anything. I've been a bad blogger...:(  Besides being busy & in the middle of about a hundred projects & having a huge list of things that I need to get done, I've had a bad case of the Lazys......I tend to do this a lot. I will go from being crazed & doing everything all at once to the polar opposite.....doing nothing..nada....zilch. So yeah, that's where I've been lately........

I have been getting some progress done on our kitchen though. I'm posting these pictures to prove it & to maybe have you guys motivate me to get off of my butt & finish it already!!! Besides needing to finish all of the painting, and install the backsplash, my hubby also needs to buy a new drill. Our old one just kicked the bucket....as a result I don't have any of my new hardware on the island that I did manage to finish. I still want to get a  white carrera marble top for it (our one splurge) but since that will cost a lot, we will either be saving our pennies or checking out craig's list with our fingers crossed.............As for the rest of our counters, I will be painting them. I bought the Giani kit but I will be changing it up a little bit....putting my own touch on them. I figure if they look horrible, or I destroy them, we can always get new ones.......

So....here's what has been happening so far:

what we are living with right now......only one coat of white paint so far & no doors done yet!....looks just beautiful.....ugh

So hopefully by posting these pictures you guys will motivate me and I will eventually get everything done..........
I think for now I'm going to go check out some of the beautiful kitchen make-overs that are out there.....that always seems to motivate me :) Oh, and I will try to not go on Pinterest........
