The Little Bench

Here are a few more items that I picked up at a nearby estate sale. A little bench and a fabric covered bulliten board. The board looked like it needed some help, the fabric is really dirty and grungy looking. I haven't started on it yet.....it's in my huge "to do" pile. The little bench was actually from Bombay Company & had been reupholstered. The fabric wasn't bad but I had a different idea for it.

I just finished the bench yesterday. I used chalk paint (which I'm sooo addicted too) & clear wax on it. I then reupholstered it again. Put on a sweet vintage angel graphic from The Graphics Fairy on the seat, added fabric flowers & voila, it's done!!! I hope you guys can see the angel, I didn't want it to be too dark. I think it turned out really great. Maybe if I get lucky I could find an old vintage vanity to pair her up with......hmmmm.....

  10. Hi Katie, your bench is beautiful. You did an excellent job. Thanks so much for sharing. I'm working on a small footstool at the moment, kind of like the bench, but smaller. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris
